Iguazio is looking for a Data Science and Engineering Team Leader to be part of our all-star CTO innovation team and play a critical role in our mission to help our enterprise customers bring their data science to life.

The CTO innovation team is responsible for bringing into play their data science, scientific knowledge and engineering skills contribute to the development and delivery of our machine learning automation solution.

As Data Science and Engineering Team Leader you will be heading data-science implementations and feature engineering modules in a variety of fields (ML, DL, NLP, etc.) for Iguazio open-source ML automation framework (MLRun); lead all data science aspects of our customers’ engagements: complex problem solving, building demos and major customer POC projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-science and feature engineering modules on top of Iguazio and other open-source frameworks (MLRun, Kubeflow, SKlearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Dask, Nuclio etc.)
  • Build end to end demos, POCs and ML pipelines to support new and existing customers who are trying to productize their ML/AI initiatives
  • Participate in research and technology innovation to develop more efficient and automated ways to handle ML/DL workloads at scale
  • Participate in new product/feature definitions
  • Work mostly with Python on Kubernetes environment
  • Lead a team of Data Scientists

Requirements

You must be passionate about data science, versatile and flexible, team player, with a strong can-do mentality. Be a people person with great communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

  • At least 5 years of experience as a data scientist
  • Experience writing code in Python and using Python data-science frameworks
  • Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras
  • Experience with building solutions with the Big Data tools and frameworks such as Jupyter Notebook, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, NoSQL, etc. – an advantage
  • Design and develop NLP applications and products- an advantage
  • Ability to work with external clients together with great communication skills; ability to talk in webinars, conferences, etc.
  • Ability to mentor and develop your talented team members
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, frameworks, and algorithms
  • BSc in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field
  • Very good English, written and verbal
